General Information about Faculty
The Faculty of Business Economics with seat in Košice, University of Economics in Bratislava (hereinafter referred to as PHF EU) was established in 1992 as the fifth faculty of the university. Its establishment was preceded by a long period of development of higher economic education in Košice. In 2008 and 2010 as well, the faculty was awarded the National Quality Award of the Slovak Republic, which is granted annually by the Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing.
The faculty received this award on the basis of the evaluation of the National Quality Award of the Slovak Republic 2008 in the category C3 – other public sector organisations and in 2010 “Awarded finalist in the category C3”, in which it participated. The University of Economics has been accredited by the AACSB since 2023.
PHF EU provides training for university-educated economists and managers. The study programme “Commercial Entrepreneurship” at the first-degree level and the study programme “Corporate Business and Marketing” at the second-degree level seek to connect the diverse stakeholders that are academics, students and practice with the ambition of preparing graduates for business and marketing practice in an international dimension.
The mission of the Faculty of Business Economics is to educate and prepare competent economists and managers through comprehensive academic programs that integrate theoretical knowledge with practical business and marketing skills in an international context.
